Retrofitting and automation of a laser marking workstation

Our customer, a global multinational company, instructed us to optimise their production process for product identification tags.

The customer was already equipped with a manual laser marking machine, so we retrofitted this unit to create an automated production solution at low cost.

Our equipment can be used to mark the plastic tags according to recipes that are stored and programmed automatically. The feeding and evacuation operations are also automated with the option to repackage the engraved tags either in bulk in bags, or so that they are arranged in the chronological order of issue in a suitable container.

Communication between the mechanical and pneumatic parts is managed via a PLC and the laser marking machine control computer.

A simple, ergonomic screen (HMI) is used for fast and user-friendly operation of the equipment.
