We completed a project for a sawdust removal system for a storage silo, designed to meet the specific needs of a customer specialising in the wood industry.
A special machine designed for optimal sawdust removal and handling
This sawdust extraction and transfer system was fully custom-designed for seamless integration into an existing silo, while ensuring continuous, safe operation in line with the required flow rates.
The system comprises the following:
1. Steel table fitted with a planetary extractor
- Robust structure designed for dusty environments.
- Maximum flow rate: 40 m³/h.
- The planetary extractor circulates the sawdust and propels its movement it in a controlled manner.
2. Feed screw conveyor
- Redirects the sawdust to the centre of the silo.
- Reliable and easy-to-maintain system, ideal for handling sawdust.
3. Extraction hopper positioned under the table
- Ensures regular and controlled transport of the material to the evacuation area.
4. External extraction screw conveyor
- Positioned under the hopper.
- Continuously removes sawdust from the silo.
5. A cleated belt conveyor mounted on a wheeled frame
- Final unloading of sawdust into a truck.
- Fully enclosed conveyor to protect the material from the elements.
- Easy to move using the wheeled frame.
- Integrated feed hopper for more consistent loading.
