Pallet lifting unit: Optimising your wrapping process
We recently designed and produced a customised pallet lifting unit integrated into a chain conveyor, for one of our customers, a leading particle board manufacturer. This unit smoothly and efficiently lifts pallets upon arrival at the wrapping station, where pallets are then covered in stretch wrap. It optimises the interaction between the pallet wrapper and the transfer conveyor, while making the stretch wrapping process more efficient.
Technical characteristics of pallet lifting unit:
- Capacity: The system can lift pallets weighing up to 5 tonnes over a 100 mm stroke at a pressure of 8 bar.
- Compact design: This solution is easy to install under an existing conveyor, without the need for any civil engineering work.
- Painted steel structure for optimal strength.
- Pallet detection sensor: The conveyor stops automatically before lifting, ensuring maximum accuracy.
- Automatic integration: By modifying the existing PLC programme, the system is linked to the transfer conveyor and pallet wrapper, thus fully integrating the pallet lifting unit into the existing production line.
- Complete autonomy: Fully automated operation for optimal management of the production cycle.
