Bundle sawing line designed for a steel manufacturer
As part of a turnkey project, TCM produced a bundle sawing line for a major client in the metallurgical industry (steel manufacturer). This special machine cuts bundles of metal profiles, with a production capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year, i.e. around 1,000 bundles or 5,000 cuts annually.
Technical characteristics of the sawing line:
Processing of bundles:
- Width of up to 700 mm
- Height of up to 500 mm
- Length of between 6,000 mm and 25,000 mm
Line storage capacity:
- 9 bundles in the loading area
- 9 bundles in the output area
Composition of the sawing line
- 8 lifter transporters 2T (production line infeed)
- 1 motorised conveyor of 29 metres long (loading of bundles)
- 1 industrial cutting saw with integrated laser tracker
- 1 automatic digital cutting stop (programming of lengths from 200 to 2,000 mm)
- 1 motorised unloading conveyor of 30 metres long
- 3 lifter transporters 2T to remove long offcuts (>800 mm)
- 8 lifter transporters 2T to remove sawed bundles
- 1 safety mesh enclosure (1,500 mm in height) to protect operators
The sawing line can be used to make clean cuts at the front and back of the bundle, ensuring maximum flexibility during the cutting process.
