Retrofit and upgrade of a vacuum pump system
We recently completed the retrofit of a vacuum pump system for a major player in the industrial cryogenics sector, bringing the unit into compliance with the latest industry standards. This retrofit focused not only on upgrading the pump unit but also on automating operations previously performed manually, thus boosting the reliability and performance of the entire system.
Operation of the vacuum pump system
This pump system is primarily used to evacuate cryogenic vessels. The process is split into various stages:
- Leak testing of the network and sub-manifolds
- Heating of the system
- Pumping of the vessels
- Cooling of the system

- Installation of a new PLC to automate system monitoring and control
- Production of an electrical cabinet to control the sensors, actuators, pumps, motors, and electric heating system, including the blower.
- Creation of a digital log to manage maintenance and service operations carried out on the pump system
